REFLECTION

During the five-day Personal Development week, we had more than 21 speakers, including seven alumni and four from foreign countries. The webinars offered many benefits, like networking opportunities, exposure to different perspectives, and personal and professional growth. Participants could choose six workshops from a variety of options related to their industries. Initially, the schools organized the workshops for us, but later we had the freedom to choose due to some changes.

The workshops that I went to were "Financial Literacy for Fresh Graduates" by MAYBANK, "The Power of LinkedIn & How to Beat ATS" by PETRON,, "Design & Digital Interfaces" by the University of Dundee Scotland, "Get Design Work and Supercharge Your Career" by Cult Creative, and "How Not To Produce Boring Graphic Design" by Et al Design.

One talk that left a strong impression on me was "The Power of LinkedIn & How to Beat ATS." It emphasized the significance of having a compelling LinkedIn profile for advancing one's career. I learned valuable techniques for creating an effective profile, including choosing an appropriate profile picture and highlighting achievements and strengths. This talk opened my eyes to the immense potential of LinkedIn as a powerful tool for networking and job opportunities.

Another inspiring talk was "Design & Digital Interfaces: Understanding People to Drive Change via Technology" presented by the University of Dundee Scotland. The talk underscored the importance of user-focused design and problem-solving. It provided valuable insights into creating user-friendly digital interfaces that can bring about meaningful changes. I gained a deeper appreciation for the impact of design in shaping the way people interact with technology.

"Get Design Work and Supercharge Your Career" was another enlightening talk. The speaker's expertise and engaging approach made the session highly informative. I learned practical strategies to advance my design career and discovered how to apply design principles effectively in real-world scenarios. The examples and case studies shared during the talk were particularly helpful in understanding how to elevate my design work and excel in the industry.

Throughout the Personal Development week, I also had the privilege of participating in workshops related to my interests and degree, such as "Financial Literacy for Fresh Graduates" by MAYBANK, "The Psychology of Advertising & Branding" by GroupM (Mindshare), and "How Not To Produce Boring Graphic Design" by Et al Design. Each workshop offered unique insights and valuable skills that will undoubtedly contribute to my personal and professional development.
