TASK

week 11

For project 2, we would need to draw the interior of the location that was chosen. Below are my attempts for the sketches.

week 12

In this week, I had chosen 1 of the sketches and polished it. Below is my first attempt at interior design. However, Mr. Kanan thinks that the space is too small and the perspective is off.

After that, I had done another attempt on the baba Nyonya building with a bigger space.

Below is my third attempt at the interior design of the ruined temple. This time I had chosen a simpler perspective and make more photo bashing to make it looks more polished.

FEEDBACK

week 11: add on elements to make it feel more design than just redrawing the picture.  Go with sketch no.2.

week 12: The space is too small and the perspective is off.

week 13: the floor perspective is off. Try another attempt to ruin temple if the baba Nyonya building is too hard.

REFLECTION

By giving up the heritage building in project 1, I want to try doing baba Nyonya interior at least, to make my story back to Malaysia. However, I am just not good at drawing Malaysia’s culture even though I am Malaysian, such a shame. I think after this semester, I would need to research more and learn more about Malaysian culture and observe how Malaysian artists draw drawings about Malaysian culture.
