TASK

week 3 (05.9.2021)

In this week, we were asked to create a proposal on what theme that we wanted to do for project 1. I used back the theme of the other module, character design, ancient china. Below are my proposal and my mood board.

After receiving feedback from Mr. Kanan, I further explore my vehicles.

week 4 (20.9.2021)

After receiving feedback from Mr. Kanan, I had focused on no.7 and 9 for land vehicles, no.10 for land vehicles, and no. 5 and 9 for water vehicles. After that, we were asked to come out with the functions and explore more designs from the chosen design. Below are my third attempts on my vehicles.

week 5 (27.9.2021)

In this week, I explore more design attempts.

This week, I finalised my design and did the line drawing.

FEEDBACK

week 3: I could use my sketches and start to do my silhouette sketches

week 4: Remember to write the title and your name, try to balance the design, try not to come out with a thin design, and remember to think of the functions of the vehicles

week 5: There are too many things going on on the land vehicles,  the air vehicles are still on the way, more exploration is required.

REFLECTION

I enjoyed doing this project because I never tried something like this before. One of the hard things I found is to find the perspective and imagine how the vehicle will look like in another perspective and draw it out. I had also learned how to make overlay colors on black and white paintings.
