TASK

week 3 (15.4.2021)

This week, we were asked to design a landing page that we are interested in. In class, we find the topic that we wanted to design and come out with the call to action, purpose, and target audience. We were asked to come out with sketches this week. Before getting my sketches done, I had planned my landing page design on the Miro board, to know what I am going to include in the design.

I had divided my landing page design into 5 categories which u can see in the Miro board which is the navigation bar, home, doll category, top sales and top posts. 

week 5 (29.4.2021)

I had chosen sketch 2 as my final and start to craft my design. I had found a lot of doll pictures and assets reference online.

Above is my first attempt. After receiving feedback from my friend, she said that I don't have enough negative space and my title are not consistent.

Above is my final outcome. I had made some adjustments and I feel like it's not that tight anymore. After that, I start to put in my design and compile them into presentation slides.

FEEDBACK

Mr. Lun says my landing page design is OK and I can proceed with digitalize it.

week 4 (22,4,2021)

My friend said that my design needs to have more negative space and the title should be consistent. She also made comment on my description and navigation should not be on the footer.

REFLECTION

Experience: We were asked to come out with a landing page design sketch. I had chosen the topic of doll collection from China because I am so into it these days. After that, I came out with the typefaces, color palette, sketches, and so on. During this project, I had learned how to create a landing page design, with consideration of negative space, 

Observation: I noticed that actually while we are designing the landing page, we must be careful on the white space. typeface and color used are also very important.

Finding: I found that doing the exercise while finding things that I am interested in was really satisfied.
