TASK

week 1 (30.4.2021)

We were asked to choose 3 videos from Zach King's YouTube channel and post them into the blog. As I watched his YouTube videos, I found some videos quite interesting and also thinking of how he did that, so I watch some of his 'tutorials' as well.

In this video, Zach King uses a different perspective to do the magic trick that he takes out the cap from the paper. The car went through the screen to the other location. He also did a trick on changing clothes with the bed sheet here.

In this video, Zach King uses the trick of the punch the cereal box and there is a bowl of cereal popping up. There was also a scene that he pulled out a doll from the television, I wish I could do that too. There was also another scene of him changing clothes with his son with covering his son with clothes and his son changed the clothes in the next second.

In this video, there is a 3d dragon in the video (I didn't watch the movie sorry) that I think it's really cool. In the video, he jumps off into the group and appears in another place. He also uses a perspective trick to complete the throwing axes task in this video. 

week 3 (13.4.2021)

This week, we were asked to find a tutorial of Zack King's trick on YouTube.

This video teaches us how to use the changing clothes trick and change the clothes' colors by using the effect in Premier Pro. By doing the went through the door trick, we need to use the masking tool in the Premier pro to cut the parts down. I notice that we need to use a lot of masking tools in this tutorial.

This video teaches us how to turn the object from paper to real object, turning water to ice. In this video, there were also a lot of masking tools needs to be used. 

week 4 (20.4.2021)

Storyboard 

B was relaxing and watching TV at home, he forgot that he needed to go out with A today. A messaged him about it but B didn’t see the message. After 30 minutes, A had reached home to fetch B, but B hadn't got ready yet. B just realized he has a plan today. B quickly ran to his bedroom and changed clothes. He used ‘magic’ to change clothes and pull out sunglasses from paper. After B had finished preparing, A was waiting there for a long time. A scolded him.

Week 6 (4.5.2021)

Week 7 (11.5.2021)

Shoots taking a week.  It was so hard to convince my brother to take this video. It took 3 hours for us to take this shoot in my brother's room.

After I had taken all the videos using my camera, I transferred them and arrange them to a folder on my laptop.

After that, I compile all the shoots and added the sound effects. As my Visual Effect is not hard to edit, I just need to make sure the position is the same to avoid jump cuts.

week 8 (18.5.2021)

After editing the video, I correct some of the scene's colors to make sure it's the same as others.

• need to include characters in your storyboard
• might consider cut the last scene

• good to use different compositions in a different scene

REFLECTION

Experience: For this project, I think my composition Is better than the first 2 exercises that we did as practice. In this project, I had learned how to write a storyboard and edit a video to make it smoother. I enjoyed doing this project very much because I can have some interaction with my brother while shooting. I feel bad because I asked him to retake the jumping scene a lot of times ahahaha (not really). I feel like doing something you like is important, so that you will be more focused.

Observation: I had noticed that when you start to take the shoots, u wouldn't follow the storyboard 100%, it will change according to what you like during the actual shooting. 

Finding: I had found that shooting is not that easy that you need to prepare for a long time, only you can start with the actual shooting.
