L.A.T.C.H is a method of information architecture or information organize from Location, Alphabetical, Category, Hierarchy.
Location is used to compare information from different sources. for example relative location, locality, absolute location.
Alphabetical by arranging by its first alphabet, its the easiest way, usually used for large amount of information, for example contact list, name list, dictionary.
Times works best as an organizing principle for events that happen over fixed durations. Used creatively to organize a place.
Category is a classification, division. It can mean different models, different types, or even different questions to be answered. For example travel checklist, shopping list, shopping mall categories.
Hierarchy is an arrangement of information based on certain criteria, for example food web. Help us to easily understand who's on top or what's the most important.

Miller's law
Chunking is when information is organized into groups or 'chunks'
allows for the brain to recognize and memorize the information easier
Helps learners to understand the subject matter easily and effectively.
reduces cognitive load or information overload on learners
Helps in retention memory power.
by grouping items by similarity, you can easily surpass the limits of retention memory.

Manuel Lima's 9 Directives Manifesto
1. Form Follows Function
- form doesn't follow data
- form follows a purpose, and in the case of information Visualization, Form follows Revelation.
- The purpose should always be centered on explanation and unveiling which in turn leads to discovery and insight.
2. Interactivity is key
- Information Visualization is the use of computer-supported, interactive, visual representations of abstract data to amplify cognition.
- highlights how interactivity is an integral part of the field's DNA
3. Cite Your Sources
- allow people to validate authenticity
- show credibility and integrity
- avoid misconception
4. The Power of narrative
- storytelling is a powerful way to learn and spread information
- convey a message and compelling narrative
- make something easier to understand
5. Do not glorify Aesthetic
- aesthetics is an important facor, to grab attention, but not the most important
- should b consequence and not a main goal
6. Look for relevancy
- making things relevant would be easier and convenience for both designer and creator point of view as well as the user.
- If the relevancy is high, it can increase he possibility of comprehension, assimilation and decision-making
7. Embrace time
- Time is one of the most difficult variables to map in any system but also one of the riches
- Time should always be considered when targeted system is affected by its progression
8. Aspire for knowledge
- A core ability of Information Visualization is to translate information into knowledge and redistribute it to others.
- Every project should aim at making knowledge more understandable.
9. Avoid Gratuitous Visualizations
- Find out the real meaning of something and convey it with the help of the appropriate visuals.
- Information Visualization needs to act as a an informational filter to provide just enough insight, they should never add more noise to the flow.
TUTORIAL
week 2
After Mr. Shamsul teach us some basic of After effects and also how to do falling effects , we need to create an self intro. After that, we were asked to create an voice over video and below are the my attempt for these exercises.

week 3
Mr Shamsul teach us how to use trim effect on after effect and after that we were asked to create an infographic chart for COVID cases. Below are my attempt. After that, we need to create a weather forecast animation with the information that Mr. Shamsul sent in google classroom.

FEEDBACK
week 2
Mr. Shamsul said that My kinetic typography exercise is simple and effective, but I could work more on the timing.
week 3
Mr. Shamsul said that my infographic chart are well done! For my weather forecast, I got a good layout but it's better if I could make the last country center align.
REFLECTION
Flip presentations
For the flip presentations, I had learned a lot of things from the presentation that my classmate did for every week. For example LATCH theory, I learned that we need to be careful on the information that we want to show and how to show in our projects. It is also important of how we arrange the information in our infographic design. Visual are important, but we need to figure out a way to let the audience know better and learn quicker in a visual way.
Practical exercises
I had learn some different kind of after effect technical skill through the practical session and how some of my classmate did some brilliant jobs that I could learn from them as well. I had also improved my After effect skills through these exercises as I think it will help me for my future project.
