A Decisive Moment

brainstorm and research

we were asked to recreate a scene from a story or movie that turn the tide of the story. First, I brainstorm from the movies or anime that I watched before to find the moment that I want to recreate. Here are the moments that I remembered the most in the stories.

This is my most memorable scene in My Hero Academia because when Deku want to save the little girl and he used one for all 100% here.

This is the scene which I like the most in Nezha because I think the friendship of Aobing and the responsibility of Nezha needs to fight with Aobing because Aobing had betrayed him and want to destroy his village, but he doesn't want to. This scenes had shown a lot of things.

This scene is when all Avengers assemble which  think it is really touching but it includes too many characters it is hard to recreate this scene.

After that, I chose the scene that Nezha fight with Aobing from the movie 'Nezha' because I think the scene really touching because it is the scene after Aobing and Nezha fight together and Nezha doesn't want to kill Aobing because he always think that they are friends.

this is the rough sketch for the artwork. It is a little plain now.

After that, I try to rearrange the position of characters according to golden ratio.

I also try to make Nezha has a big size different with Aobing to make the balance of this artwork.

I also did include some building at the bottom to make the perspective towards Nezha.

first, I drew the background of the scene.

After that, I use the picture of Nezha to have the color palette of the skin tone.

After that,I place Nezha to the position with the draft.

After that, I drew the draft of Aobing.

I had chose the color palette for Aobing.

After that I had drew some fire effect around the character.

I had refine some of the details of Aobing.

I am not satisfy with the background because I think it is too plain. I try to make the clouds focus on the character Nezha.

After that, I add some details to the building.

FEEDBACK 

I had asked Ms Anis's feedback on my final outcome, she said that I should put the title on the artwork and I should make Aobing's spear move up and down, but I tried a lot of times and it didn't work well.

I had also asked a lot of my friends, they said that I have a nice outcome.

REFLECTION

I had a good experience on this project and I had fun doing it. During this project, it is the first time I use a drawing tablet to create artwork from laptop. I am new to it but I think I am satisfied with the final outcome and had fun using it. I am a little bit worried at first because I thought that we need to produce those complicated animation, but end up we just need to create a simple one.
